Deb and Kneebone formed their own record label:

It all started on the Porch...

1996 ~ Deb and Kneebone used to jam on the back porch at
Deb's shanty on Lone Tree Drive in Flastaff, Arizona. What
started out as a casual music party became more when
it was clear that there was a chemistry between the two.
When jams turned into songs they 'hit the road' and are
now performing at concerts, festivals, clubs, coffeehouses, and
breweries in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.

The Porchlights have released 5 CDs, and the 6th album
is currently in production and will feature original songs
recorded at the FRIENDLY EDDY STUDIOS in Dolores, CO.
A new DVD has just been released, featuring live
performances of new and classic tunes.
See our MUSIC page for more on our recordings.

The DUO

Deb and Kneebone at the Flagstaff Music Festival 2006

DEB HILTON ~ Acoustic guitar/vocals/songwriter

The Porchlights full-hearted sound is built around Deb's smooth vocals and
powerful rythmn guitar. Her voice is often compared to Edie Brickell and Juliana Hatfield.
Originally from Connecticut, Deb stepped off the train in Flagstaff at age 21 and was
soon playing and singing on the various stages in Northern Arizona. A prolific songwriter,
Hilton writes songs from her own unique perspective. Deb has shared the stage with Michelle
Branch, The Gin Blossoms, Cracker, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Walt Richardson, and more.

WILD BILLY KNEEBONE ~ Guitar/vocals/songwriter

Kneebone's unique guitar stylings make him one of the Southwest's
most well known talents. A professional musician for over 20 years,
Kneebone is a phenomenal guitarist and music producer. His recent
list of band memberships include Clay McClinton Band, Rye,
Second Harvest, Smokin Bones, The Situation, The New Dolorians, and Each Others' Legend.
Included in a long list of production credits are collaborations
with well-known talents Steve Kimock, Pete Sears (Jefferson
Starship, Hot Tuna), Peter Rowan, Joseph Langham, Hans
Olson, Walt Richardson, Joe Myers, and R. Carlos Nakai.
He also co-writes songs with Deb. Kneebone has shared the stage with
Little Feat
Big Head Todd & The Monsters
Bruce Hornsby
Solomon Burke
Derek Trucks Band
Susan Tedeschi
Sam Bush
Yonder Mountain String Band
Dicky Betts
Jerry Jeff Walker
Tony Furtado
John Cowan
Alison Brown
Railroad Earth
Jerry Riopelle
Gin Blossoms
Greg Brown
and many more...

BANDS

The PORCHLIGHTS started the 'band chapters' with an electric Folk/Rock/Jam type sound. Deb and Kneebone (on electric guitar) were joined by TIM HOGAN and CETA SINGLEY on bass, AARON TYLER on mandolin, ANDREW LAUHER on drums. Sometimes STEVE BOTTERWEG or DAVE RENTZ would cover the drum slot.
